moody and murky
is the swamp this quiet day
looking up a sprinkling of stars
can be seen
as though embarrassed by it all
still there they are
hanging up like kernels of gloom
eh . . .
the swamp’s radiant flowers
are subdued
affected by the mood all around
the noises associated with the swamp
chirping of the birds
no insect parade
not even an old bull gators hiss
all is still
all is quiet
what is the reason for this
unworldly isolation and seclusion
what in the world
could make the swamp
recede into itself
only three words
n’er spoken but the
message is clear
three words have put the swamp
on meltdown
those three words . . .
Hillary for President!
