[longing for summer at the beach - digging up past memories here] I want to walk barefoot along an empty beach the wash from the sea stroking my feet, the slightest breeze taking the hard edge off the summer sun. But it’s low tide, and the waters have receded far back, swallowed by the ocean. Only the sand of the dunes dominate the shore, and fish pens sticking out like crude fortresses. I see eternity stretched out on barren sand beyond the mist-shrouded dock. Rushed time stands still, converges with distance on some infinitesimal vanishing point. Life’s noise is covered by all this silence, my love boat waits to carry me off to some magical land, bringing the promise of sleep. |

Nothing has a better feeling than walking barefoot over a sandy , empty beach. Just you and your thoughts. Nostalgia usually dominates these kind of walks. Nostalgia is good. In your case you are also looking toward the future. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

quote:The perspective of oneself changes drastically, when seen as a fixed point on the line of time. All the possibilities of existence can suddenly seem profusely limiting, or just draw from within us the realization that we have the power to make the most out of the limited span of life gifted to us. Think I need to walk on the beach more. Michael |
