between one line to the next eternity wavers within its own simplicity began writing this poem in mid-morning now it is a hot and humid afternoon and earth has slowed to a blandness into itself though the poem’s future is still discernible, but hard to pin down it is so close so why am I not able to finish it paper and pencil hides in the shadows of their own being temples are throbbing with the monotonous rushing of blood something is happening inside The Hovel afternoon light metamorphoses the wall into vaporous stages of reflection I feel I am stuck in the middle of a hurricanes’ eye staring into myself and, like the wall I am rendered into blankness oh, the moment takes flight I retrieve my pencil words now become effortless this is how the world is to me at this instant

"..it is so close so why am I not able to finish it.." ~could be that there is still much to experience.. to be penned at later date? (hope so)
"..something is happening inside The Hovel afternoon light metamorphoses.." ~wishes* for the emergence to be as a palace enjoyed & be well! ~T

Oh Tanya, The Hovel is what I make of it, and most of the time is suits me like a grand palace. Thank you for your kind words and comments.~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~

A vivid depiction of the moment of clarity where one goes from feeling near-complete isolation, to filled with the passion and purpose of poetry. The light-bulb pic could not have been more appropriate. Nicely done, Jer. Michael

I have to admit, jjote, that I may not write world-class poetry (whatever that is) I do manage to write something each day, sometimes more than one. I have had writers block, but not often, thank goodness.~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~
