sometimes at night
I sit and stare out the window
thinking about all that I have seen
and done
I try to imagine
what the world will look like
when my last autumn is over
I believe
in the progression of essence
believe there’s something beyond all this
beyond the everyday things we see
there’s something more
than the routine dullness of our days
and the angry moments we have
there are allusions to it
in some of the books we read
the music we listen to
and, oh yes
we feel it when we are cuming
or high
when things which doesn’t matter
are stripped away
. . . and we are an entity . . .

fine 'write!' ...

It sure would be grand if there is a continuance
of our individual energy-consciousness beyond
all the boredom and the chowder of this 'life' ...

I firmly believe there is that continuation, Bruce, but it is not a Heaven filled with streets of gold. Thanks for the read and comments.

"..I believe
in the progression of essence.."
~Dittos from me!

Quite the profound ponder you've spun, Jerry! Was best read in a meandering pace down a lazy path. So effective!
Enjoyed

So glad you enjoyed my little poem in your "meandering pace down a lazy path." That just said something to me, devina . . . Thank you . . .
