I suppose… That if we all lined up side by side according to whatever you decide… Our differences however incidental as individuals would be incremental Indistinguishable doppelgangers contrast opposite others at the ends of the spectrum Within the breath of our sight and reach are homogenous others The “we” of which we teach Beyond the breadth of our sight and reach and into our ignorance stands The “they” of which we oppose irrationally Our incremental differences Seemingly large by relative distances would divide us under many circumstances But there is adhesion that stays our asunder and fills that incremental in between Love is the reason LGR©2/9/14 |

I must wholeheartedly agree with the point the poem takes, Lori, and thank you for posting it. When true love is in the picture it can, and does, overshadow our petty difference and allows us the freedom to put them aside and embrace love all encompassing. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Yes Lori G, since we are so complex by nature.. the more different we are the more we are the same And yet, we are simple We simply want to matter to someone, and to ourselves I love your message of, sticking together, with love as our glue That was really special! |

Jerry and Richy! Happy Sunday! I appreciate your take on my poem. Our differences are always a matter of position and perspective. I'm glad you both found Love to be a common factor, thus making my point. Lori |

extremely well said! ... especially: "Beyond the breadth of our sight and reach and into our ignorance stands The “they” of which we oppose irrationally" ... AND, Love IS the reason ! |

Somehow I think I would be at the end of the line... or ten spaces beyond it. Love where you went with this one though. As incapable of believing I have a doppleganger anywhere on this planet I may be, I do feel that adhesion. Love may not conquer all, but it definately places a hold on us all, no matter where we stand. Truly enjoyable piece here. Michael |
