The Other Side

Is it the law of the universe
This endless expansion and contraction
While creation concentrates about
Vacant spaces devoid of light?

Or, is it a matter of perspective
from my point of reference
which drifts farther away
From everything else

There is much comfort in those dark folds. I exist there frequently as well.

We, some of us, gravitate toward "spaces devoid of light," and have meaningful dialogue within ourselves whether to drift into it foolhardily or step back.

I think this is the best piece I have seen from you, Juju.  that's because I am totally biased to things I relate to I am sure, but even so, this is great.  It's a tough thing to bear witness to creations light when you feel you're slipping off in the other direction.  I have found though, many beautiful things are created in darkness as well.

Excellent poem, dear Juju! Very good comments too. I love your "universal" approach to the alternation of light and dark. We can't know either of it without the other. Light is usually associated with life-creation, but the seeds must first experience the darkness. So ...
