The house seems empty,
the blue home colder.
Entering, the door slams
behind me, drowning my
first call,i call again,
''anyone there?''
Earlier fellow rhapsodists gone,
silent now is the house.
How i miss them all, some
more than others. To have
them back again, to kindle
embers back to flame.
Come old poets intensely passionate,
let us dance while we still can.

walk the moonlight path through the dark woods...i await your return..

Calling the ghosts of poetical past is something I have done frequently . . . To those who are still here . . . By all means dance, dance like crazy . . .

quote:
the ghosts of poetical past

Time moves at a soft, slow pace on the board pages of the past. It's one reason of several that I go back to find jewels like this one.

The "ghosts" are always here in the words they left behind.

Golden Rose you have been here a long time and I since '99. So many beautiful poems and stories are still here but the poet  may have passed on.I miss so many of them, so usually just come to read.  I am sure some are still just lurking as I tend do. It is a new group but all are interesting also. Jo

Yeah for the last two lines - a "call to arms" almost.  Well written, my friend.
