In the depths of my thoughts I had a dream A dream that held me captive and with hope A dream that I thought would be our salvation A few words… that’s all it took A dream that lived so long within my heart And though love has not yet left …hope has A dream that made me love with a blinding passion A love I couldn’t understand It was the only thing that caused me great joy, warmth within my soul A few words… that’s all it took to shatter the little bit of light As I close my eyes each night to sleep, I no longer dream I no longer see what kept me sane all these years. I lost sight of all … maybe this dream was just another lesson A dream… within a dream… within a dream… how sad I feel So lost, drowning in my own expectations… broken promises That’s all that is left of that dream A dream shattered by a few words….. Love is very gentle, we just expect it to always be as gentle as the soft strokes against the skin, but love can also be rough, its like a two-edge blade, for it cuts both ways, in gentleness and in pain, for been too gentle can be like removing purpose from the soul that we are clouded by our real abilities only shown through experience, you'll get through this. |

Greatly enjoyed your words. Love is the basis of life.Without it life would be dreary and insane. Love is a busy worker as it has to carry the words RESPECT and deep CARING and also UNDERSTANDING and some Forgetting and forgiving.When it works all is Love. Best to you. JO |
