The eve begins to butter my skin
A herd of shiver grazes on my arm
The shy of a voice walks on my ear
A wisp is looking for its purse
The day is now no longer broken
The night is laying on her side
I can almost hear her tresses
Slowly, licking at her eyes
A what, a could, a have and a been
Gently part, a wounded way
As it may returns to march
Every road is not away
All the words unspoken are
The pieces, of apart
You’re the leave that never left
You’re the hands around my heart

Only a great chef can take unlikely food combinations and make them delicious. Likewise, only a masterful poet can combine unlikely words and come up with such a great poem!~L

Lori G.. i don't know if you knew but I'm a chef instructor.. and it is true for me at least.. that cooking is like writing.. they both have a myriad of ingredients to choose from to make the end product, sweet, savory, or, both.. thank you my friend for the lovely comments.. have a yummy weekend

A fine word-tapestry, of which, 'You're the leave that never left', is the finest stitch.
