Dancing thoughts twirling and whirling shimmy and dip here and there to the background sound Music of life and love frustrations and fear fills me with vibrato I hum along with this familiar song The cat on my lap staying close Telling me what? I don't know Finding old words written Old fits smitten Realizing I'm better than I thought Never worse than I was I grab at gratitude a battle well fought An attitude caught and kept in a letter I wrote to myself and addressed to you I smile to myself One I stole from Mona Lisa You are happy too to see me smile again Always wondering if in the back of your brain you are the reason I do. A lot of physiology inside the lines of this poem. I thoroughly enjoy it, especially because I saw much sunlight shining through, and sunlight looks good on you. As to your question, I imagine he has a lot to do with that sunlight. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

I grab at gratitude a battle well fought There is a great rhythm in your poem and there is serenity in escalation, which is good! Interaction is the key to inspiration ever so often. Much enjoyed, dear Lori. Margherita |

Thank you My Friends, one and all! Happiness can be an elusive state of mind if you don't work at it and hold on to it. It has been a hard lesson to learn how to make myself happy after decades of putting everyone else first. Lori ![]() |

"to learn how to make myself happy after decades of putting everyone else first." I know the feeling. Suprisingly I'm right there with you on this one. Enjoyed the light-hearted feel to this. Wish I could put to words the light-heartedness I have felt of late but all my muses have abandoned me it seems. ![]() Michael |
