Venturing into the unknown |

* My mind loves to do acrobatics upon astrophysical terms as they perform their veiled dance. Intrigued by the mysteries I set out for virtual space exploration. The vibrations of Universe call out for my alignment. Fascinated I open my core of perception and expand my individual vibratory awareness. Upon notes of deepest yearning I drift away on mental avenues which lead into the unknown. I watch the cosmic panorama as infinity unfolds in all its glory as well as in its matter based fury. Fragments of enlightenment enter my consciousness in no time. Aware of the truth that knowledge unfailingly leads to illumination I try to complete the puzzle to get the whole picture upon the screen projected by my brain. Heart sensors detect sporadic powerful sources of light like phenomenal supernovas which close a star's cycle of life. The striking vastness of Universe with its billions of galaxies somehow eludes my understanding. But still I do my mental somersaults to capture the emotion of existence within this amazing creation of endless fascination. * |

Ahhh . . . I quite understand many of the things you point out in this superb poem, Margherita, and if I may I will add a foot note . . . quote: There is somebody out there writing poetry about the unknown as you are . . . If they give you ruled paper write sideways. |

But still I do my mental somersaults to capture the emotion of existence within this amazing creation of endless fascination. I have to say the image here of mental somersaults is delightful! Amazing creation prompts them. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

The unfettered vastness, and how helpless I am to even imagine the distances involved (I mean I only know what I can see and travel and that is so limited: I know how big Earth is because I'm told, but cannot "see" it.) That is, until I get in a car, travel a couple thousand miles - then I truly begin to understand "distance", though "vastness" is still and enigma. Wonderful piece, my friend. j. |

Dear Lori, You bless me with your kind comment. Thank you from my heart. I love it when words stir something within us and cause us to pause for a moment! You may have got that right, dear Jerry. Such a generous comment from you, thank you. I trust that someday, somehow, with adequately equipped brains (and hearts!) we shall know the truth and unveil the mysteries ... Dear Virginia, thank you so much. I enjoyed your comment. Somersaults have always been a passion of mine, though I don't do them anymore physically . But who can stop me from doing them mentally? Thank you so much, dear Jimmy! Your thoughts make sense yes. The immensity of Universe (or even Universes!!) is simply mind-boggling. I often see our beautiful blue planet with my mind's eyes, as a very tiny little gem in midst of immeasurable vastness. Unfathomable mysteries! May you all enjoy a beautiful Sunday. Love, Margherita "Love is the One who masters all things; |

I often visit the Nasa website, it's just awesome ... the gallery of images http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/iotd.html#.VHS9wNd_uoo Love, Margherita |
