Endless Night Are dreams black like a moonless night No shadows in the gloom an incandescent pool No ripples there to stir your thoughts Despairing in the darker depths for light And in that dark you yearn to touch To feel some semblance of a life now gone Cold, warm breath emitting but still unseen This dark dream that wanders through your mind But yet awake or so it seems The yellows of the day turn grey within the night Terrors of the dark, unheard your silent screams Your hand reaching out no comfort do you find Colours flooding in, but eyes you keep shut tight Dawn has come too soon, just silence in your room. |

Ahhh, the dark abound within us always it seems. When we try to understand it, it just seems to mock us, or at least that how I have found it. I have managed, thank goodness, to turn my dark a lighter color . . . gray, but still midnight dark. Dark still comes to play, but not as often anymore, and it doesn't stay long either. If they give you ruled paper write sideways. |

That was pretty awful and uncomfortable. The more I read the more I didn't want to go where you were taking me. But of course it was too late I was already hooked and in until the dreaded end. I'd say you did an excellent job of recreating that primal darkness we fear when we are alone. Lori |
