I wish I could tell you my spirit was wealthy
I’m more like a bottle you tip and then pour
You are the river that runs in my body
I am the ocean waves lapping, your shore
I want to enrich you with all, my belonging
Filling your purse till it bursts at the seams
All of the sin in our shadow is, spawning
All of our silence is muffled by screams
And so I continue to grip to the water
Driving my fingertips deep in the swells
A moment unheard is led, to the slaughter
The ocean is filled up with feelings, that fell
You are the meaning of all of the ages
You are that whispering windsong that flew
Out in the middle of all these blue pages
Timeless desire, means wading for you

The ocean is filled up with feelings, that fell ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So eloquently penned, your words are a wave of emotions, making it hard to breathe.
I also loved loved loved your closing lines, as if one is hesitant to wade any further and yet the windsong is a warm caress that lingers long in the breeze. Thanks for this timeless treasure.

Oh Lori I’m so glad you enjoyed it.. the title was inspired by two words in a reply someone recently wrote to one of my scribbles.. as was the rest of the piece..
Yes such things as wistful breaths upon the waves can imbue lingering respect and lasting fondness..
Thank you for always being there.. I hope our friendship wades for all times in the billowing swells..
