Why, oh, why, do lovers sleep between the sheets of sheer deceit and twist them till no longer like the dictates of an honest mind? It takes a time to disengage from this indeed unholy cage that holds with such disarming charm as if not doing any harm. But harm is done to one ensnared and who indeed quite unprepared for evil’s artful acts and deeds that cause the heart to bleed. But heart, oh, heart, the simple heart grows to become a thing apart and flies up to the clouds on high where honesty a state of mind. And there it lives safe and sound protected from the maddening crowd and where indeed it smiles relief at its escape from grief. The simple heart; yes, it flies beyond the reach of evil’s ire! . . . as well the heart should escape the "evil’s ire," Helen. Maybe I have told you this before, but I am convinced love is the cause of more suffering and pain than anything else in the world. Still we seek it. |

You're right of course and we seek it because it's perhaps what we somewhere or other in our make-up are very familiar with and so miss it in this world of ours. Guess the secret is to stop looking because what we maybe inherently know just doesn't exist here - something like that. |

Your pen and its wise performance deserve always deep consideration. And that heart that refuses to bleed is also a heart that acts wisely. Good to read you, dear Helen! Love, Margherita |

Thank you dear Bluesy! There are still things in life that surprise me and make me question my judgement with regards to people. This isn't about an actual "lover" but someone very close to me or so I thought. So good to see you here. I think "Lady Sunday" got lost somewhere in the years but you bring back memories each time you call me that and it's mostly good to remember the times that were. Hugs Helen |

Obviously, we still have much to learn about love, Helen. I think we don't completely understand this complicated emotion. I'm sure the poets will lead the way. Ida |

powerful thoughts indeed ... "Love" is at its most fundamental ... the greatest mystery ... from whence does it come and why/where does it all-to-often go ?! |

so much truth here...wondering now...how do we fall into these heart traps? me I just get lonely... "And that heart that refuses to bleed is also a heart that acts wisely." Once bitten twice shy for sure....One thing for certain, love is God and God is Love...God being also in all and everything .... knowing all that is real or imagined....if all this is so how can love be deceitful...? Painful yes I get that but deceitful? kingsangel |
