The Bliss of Zen While leaves fall and shadows lengthen, a giant mystic-yellow moon floats the far eastern star horizon; and the delicious scent of wood smoke from the town below dances with a spectral mist in the chill evening breeze, as Autumn spreads silently across a thousand miles of ‘endless’ forest hills. Here in the ‘now’ there is nothing to grasp for but the truth of nature, self, life, and great love that conquers all indifference. This is the eternal bliss of Zen. --- b. e. adams jr. (9/15/2014) |
