There was a place for us all A man to a boat A foot to a boot A hand to a Gun They told such fluid lies We believed So we marched We marched where belief replaced food where pride eclipsed wisdom Into fire unimagined in Hell Into dirt rain Thick cloying airs and always always the screaming There was a place for us all A man to a boat A foot to a boot A hand to a Gun Yet here I lie Cold bootless not even a coffin my own and here a place for us all I aint as good as I once was but I'm as good, once, as I ever was. - Toby Keith |
