What We Can Not Possess On the pristine wilderness edge just beyond a soft Summer sunset, in the gentle twilight afterglow with a giant, mystic moon rising, while tree-shadows phantom-dance with wisps of deep violet evening mist, ancient spirits, and ten thousand years of ancestral human dreams, the lonely, burdened heart, mind, and spirit turn clear as this ‘endless’ mountain stream. Here, the grand-scintillating universe touches down among these ‘endless’ sylvan hills where Nature speaks in simple truths and enlightenment lies in the lovely, ephemeral moments of the ‘now’ and all such things that we shall never 'own'. --- b. e. adams (7/29/2014) |

We can own our thoughts, Bruce, and that is the message I got out of this finely written poem of yours. ~*~ Tell the truth, but tell it slant.--Emily Dickimsom ~*~ |

That infamous "now" we seem to overlook in the Quest for what is out of the realm of true peace Very wise words indeed |

There are those who think they can own everything, Bruce and there are those of us who know better and just embrace the dream. Ida |
