look at us going with the flow drifting with the current to the end of our pitiful lives with wordless understanding like a mad creature locked within a cage people believe God was the mastermind of all this pain and suffering I’ll not argue except to say, b.s. we are in the midst of the evolution we’re living longer we’ll eventually live forever I’m positive of that what then? colonize the nearest planets you can guess what that will result in war, of course why stop doing what we do so well killing each other at any rate we’re standing in line knowing full well this world is a coarse and vulgar slaughter-house ©June 30, 2014 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ When politicians give up on liberty, it falls to poets to preserve it. Eh, I think not, we seem to keep making the same mistakes generation after generation. Thanks Baby Girl for stopping by. ~*~ When politicians give up on liberty, it falls to poets to preserve it. Or write its epitaph. ~*~ |

Slaughterhouse, hmmmm....The more I think about the choice of that word, the more I agree with it. Too true. too sad. Lori |

I could have gone with another word, Lori, but if you look at what is happening in the world today, slaughterhouse seemed to fit. Thanks for your observation. ~*~ When politicians give up on liberty, it falls to poets to preserve it. Or write its epitaph. ~*~ |

Sometimes just have to laugh when I read your words, my friend - true in many ways though they may be. That's just the nature of me - and where are we any different than any other "animals", except in the, so called, intelligence we have, which doesn't deplete our baser instincts, but just allows us to blame ourselves for things we affect and don't like. As usual, enjoyed reading you. j. |

Laugh away Jimmy, I can take it! I agree that our intelligence sure doesn't deplete our baser instincts. If anything that intelligence only serves to find different and baser acts to comment. Thanks for your comments. ~*~ When politicians give up on liberty, it falls to poets to preserve it. Or write its epitaph. ~*~ |
