As winter approaches the leaves turn brown They now cover the ground They crunch as you walk before the first snow The wind gets colder Whips through the barren trees making it sound as if they are whistling some sad musical tune Then the first snow arrives The sounds of children playing and snowballs whizzing past your ear Snow crunching under your every step The sounds of winter beauty When the family is together, the soul is at peace - Russian Proverb |

Your poem about the Winter Beauty was nicely rendered, The_Doctors_Angel_32. I remember fearsome winters when I lived in New York City and Cheyenne, Wyoming. We are having a mild winter this year so far, thank goodness. ~*~ I gave up feeling guilty just to survive a long time ago ~*~ |

Thank you JerryPat2!!! I have never lived up north. LOL I am in Florida. But I still remember in 1989 when we got snow. That is what I base my winter poems on. When the family is together, the soul is at peace - Russian Proverb |
