. This silence At sunset On Lake Michigan Is like finally Understanding The passage of time There is something Gently demanding Of attention In the last light going Disappearing from All the scenes Isn’t it then A life after death Of the best of us Though not as frenetic As before To be left in peace With enough to eat And drink while waiting For whatever’s next Is all perhaps that’s now Realistically wanted And nothing more By these weathered couples And singles who walk Along the pier or sit in chairs Along the shore If there’s any movement At all it’s very slow As the sun goes down . |

Sunset is a wonderful time of day...and more so when you can watch it over the water...I like the visuals of this poem...well done |

Good reasoning thoughts and a peaceful scene for a nightcap. Images nicely portrayed. Eric true love never looks after it's own interests |
