A Raindrop Falls The raindrop just hovered on the gutter As if deciding to stay or fall And somewhere secret behind a shutter So lost in passion, his name she'll call And like the shadows just fluttering by By candlelight the moth will dance The minutes, so long gone, the time to fly Entrapped desire, a Lover's trance And still the raindrop pure, just hanging there So crystal clear, this translucent sphere For who, what world within, without a care The light refracts, rainbow's colours here A tear of Love, set free, the raindrop falls And in the distance, lone lovebird calls |

Damn. This is just fine writing, Michael. You conveyed nature's grace and identity, and along with that you gave us passion in the form of a teardrop and lovebirds. Impressive write. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

This is such wonderful traditional poetry, something we all need to get back to from time to time to realize the joys of the craft. Love this line.. " A tear of Love, set free, the raindrop falls" Enjoyed. Eric true love never looks after it's own interests |
