there was a time when the world was all seemed your eyes would twinkle mine would sparkle the world was a waterfall that led to a magic river where we would float on dreams far away towards an ocean as clear as love. there was a time when in the meadow we'd sneak out to see the fireflies and in the skies we'd see the stars we'd hold each others hands our lips would greet we'd wish for nothing more than life so sweet. there was a time when rain fell down soaking us worse than ducks we shivered and chattered in the end we got a cold, but we did not mind instead we laughed it off amid cups of boiling tea and steaming bowls of soup. there was a time, when we got trapped out in the snow and i hugged you you kissed my cold nose and in that moment we braved the storm. there was a time there was a time when all was right and we swore deep inside our cores to love and die side by side there was a time when nothing mattered because we were one those times i remember them all the movies where we cuddled the morbid jokes we use to say just to here the other laugh the tiny things we'd do just to see each other smile. now i only hope your happy but i yearn i long to see you to hear you to hold you and love you and never let go for as i've often said before without you i fear i would slowly turn to stone. As valid a declaration of love as I have ever heard. (I like to read the poems out loud.) Stunning, really stunning. |
