I seem to be in love with love these days. Maybe its the spring, perhaps... I found romance in most everything. I look at my husband differently, I appreciate him so much more. Perhaps because i realize how short life really is. When people you love pass on, like so many have lately, it makes you take stock of what is important, and what you have. I remember always dreaming of my high school love. Who i dont know if when you have loved someone it ever goes completely away? I suppose in a way, i was just wishing for a sweeter time, when things were sweeter in my life. Maybe... Just an escape perhaps. We all do it now and then. Reality check... What i have in my life is solid, thats real love. Not a novel kind of love you find in a book, or a movie. Maybe at times boring... Maybe... But nonetheless, its the only one that is real. Dirty dishes real. Piled up dirty laundry real. No makeup real. bills piling up real. Tedious? Perhaps... But nonetheless, when someone really loves you they stay... Thru the good times, and the bad. There love sustains. Romantic? Not always... Perhaps in moments. But from time to time i'm pleasantly suprised when i look at him I see my guy, the one who still at times makes my heart flutter. Who still is here for me thru thick and thin. Who is a great father to our child. Who makes me soup when im sick, who works so hard for his family. Who has seen me at my worst thru childbirth, sickness. My pms mood swings. My raging hormonal swings Now if that isn't love, real love then i dont know what is. The kind of love you can grow old with. Love you forever. <3 |
