DEVON BELLE Steam train chuffing down the Torquay line Seagulls soaring round the red cliffs high Sun just glistening on the sea so blue Distant memories of the times we knew Dawlish passes see the boats at sea People waving at the Devon Belle Once on the sands, there was you and me From memories depths the stories to tell Teignmouth basking with her sand so red High tide in the estuary, and the couple just wed Children playing with their buckets and spades Princesses living in the castles they made Turning up the river, my favorite view Shaldon cottages in pink and blue Sunshine yellow I hear you say Take me there, on a train one day |

Lovely word pictures flowing in such great sequence of rythum and rhyme. Images make up a memorable trip. Eric true love never looks after it's own interests |
