. It is raining Nothing Is a good thing When it comes To happening Again There is no incoming Artillery or stupidity To threaten me today No one in my rooms Or with a key to my door To make me wish after all I was dead This gray sky The absence of birds Outside in no way afflicts My gratitude How I love Instead this music silence Peace plays inside Books in corners And on the floor Landscapes seascapes On the walls And this beautiful woman Whose name I never knew Her gaze a smile As if calmly aware Of all the valleys I had to go through To get here . |

Some of this poem makes me think of PTSD with all the nightmares that come with it...but then the hope of a smile can ease some of the fears...a powerful poem that made me think and feel for the person it is written about...well done |

Very interesting write. The things we go through and many we wish we hadn't and it might even be your Mom smiling from somewhere familiar. I really enjoyed this. Eric true love never looks after it's own interests |
