Watching mother play her piano as her long delicate fingers press the keys every so carefully. She seems to become transported to another time & place, with a hint of sadness like she is longing to go back to a time when memories were sweeter. Perhaps a first love never fulfilled, maybe that day in the summer of her youth when she would lie on the lap of her suitor as he recited poetry, when love was all there was in those carefree days. Stumbling in the grass the giggles abound, playfully falling as there lips met so tenderly. As they look into the sky lying there hand in hand perhaps dreaming of there future so young and innocent .... so in love..... |

Beautifully constructed, dreamgal. The reminders of a past time gently filling your mother with pleasant feeling. You said it was okay to critique. I only have this . . . press the keys every so carefully. (should be ever, not every.) playfully falling as there lips met so tenderly. (their, not there.) hand perhaps dreaming of there future (again, their instead of there.) ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

I love this poem...it weaves such a vision of innocent love in days gone by...the world seems too fast today for the simple pleasures of love giving one the fulfillment one needs...Thank you for the read |

Nothing like a piano to get carried away into dreams of yesterday ... Beautiful! You will read it to her and she will be pleased no doubt, maybe even blushing just a tiny little bit, for you read her so well. Margherita ![]() |

Hi dreamgal. This is a beautiful picture of reminiscing through imagining another's thoughts. I really love the idea of it, should I say the old fashioned idea of it as the world seems to have dumped such slowly developing romances that allowed lovers to get to know one another better. Very nice indeed! Eric true love never looks after it's own interests |

And I just plain agree with everything above, though I think a little different formatting would add to its beauty. jimmy [This message has been edited by jwesley (03-15-2013 12:01 AM).] |
