resolutions are like selected whiskey
when you take a quick sip
just to hold you over in pretty
until tomorrow when you have longer
and can drink your fill over full

and women are those addicting solutions
that squirt gum kind of refreshment
that makes your mouth always water
so you wipe it on your sleeve
and then keep that skirt around forever

wanting to put it on again like a kiss
with a sheet pulled over the nametag
it just don't matter about the have to
when you just drink one sip at a time
and let it get all over your reasoning

until eventually this side of real remains

A sip is so much better than nothing. A little love goes a long way.

Like peanut butter, but that's a different story. lol

The poem was going along fine until these
few lines pulled it into a much deeper,
more confined, more hidden and complex
depth...

and you know I know that you know I know
the why of it all...
because you cannot hide some things
behind soul-filled words.

And don't tell me it's all about peanut butter,
unless that was one of the things that you
craved while gone.

I hope he still has it.

That earring would be over 25 years old. I still have the other...

Ms Serene..all of my ear rings and navel rings and ..oh I can't talk about those here...come as singles. I know their mates are out there somewhere and someday I hope to find out where...or on who anyway. Thanks babe

"One sip at a time" of what we crave for is a good strategy to have the gratification last longer in time I guess.
