Oh to lay naked in the moonlight
with the grass still warm from the summer day
like a soft blanket underneath my skin
the light from the moon illuminating my body
I feel solace in this silence
just me, uncovered in the moons light
as naked as the day I was born
I think of myself as a child of the moon
I long for his fullness
and when his phase is complete
only then do I truly feel his presence, his wholeness
oh to be one with the moon
with all his fullness shining brightly upon me
warming my body from head to toe
it's then that I know
I have surrendered to the night
