Sister to sister, soul to soul, You can't see that you're losing control. You have a husband that you treat so blandly, Yet you talk about the importance of family. He's trying now to be a man, But you won't let him take your hand. Marriage is a sacred commitment, But you treat him like a detriment. Sister to sister, soul to soul, Chasing another man is not very bold. Run away, run away, But your problems are with you to stay. No matter what you have, you'll always want more, And no matter who you're with, life will become a bore. All of this will keep being true, Until you're happy and content with YOU. Sister to sister, soul to soul, Running away won't reach your goal. Give your man a chance, And things might get better by happenstance. ~Arana Darkwolf~ |

Great insight here with great poem structure. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Thank you both very much. What's really painful about this poem is that even though I've told her these things, my friend continues to pursue another man and treat her husband with indifference. Psychologically, I think it has to do with the fact that the anniversary of the death of the first boy she ever loved just passed. I'm hoping that things turn around soon for her sake. ~Arana Darkwolf~ |
