buried my misery in the far corner of the backyard 'neath a stately old oak the oak died, misery still lives I loaded up the trunk of the Taurus with all my worthless memories drove fifty miles, dumped them beside the road when I got home they opened the door for me ©March 6, 2012 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

This was like saying that you can't run away from your problems and your past but in a much cooler way. Enjoyed Kat >^..^< |

There's no running from memories, my friend. But the angst is heavy, and you make many nod their heads in understanding. |

No, you can't outrun memories, Karilea. They are there, fixed in your brain until the brain itself goes. Thank you for being here . . . ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

JP2...I was told a story once about a poet that use to post here but no longer does. he was involved in a terrible car wreck and a few days later when he came too in the hospital he had no memory of who he was or what had happenned to him. Shortly after that he said God spoke to him and told him his new name was Bill and he had big plans for him. Over the next few months Bill slowly began to heal, but he never did remember who he was before and he had no memories to recall. A sad but true story. JP2 maybe you want to hold onto your memories...Paul Not trying to sound condecending, This just brought back my memory of him. Bill Charles RIP Friend & Poet. Check out his poetry Jerry if you want to do a search in the archives here of his name. |
