Her battered cliffs
eroding
tell
of timeless drifts of coastal swell
As upward
rising
wholesome mist
coheres
with life's
advancing fist
~
Above
her gentle maples
frown
her autumn bliss now shades of brown
Her glory
fades
through misperceives
distorted
crushed
to rotted leaves
~
Across
the mistral'd
comber
lakes
her foehn of wistful soul awakes
In deathless hush
of cruel
mistakes
the gentle maple
sighs

Thanks everyone... The poem is about my country, Canada. How she rolls with the punches while she watches all that she's stood for slowly crumble...
