My love for you - it never fades,
It glitters in all hues and shades;
It shines a light on shadows cast
By doubt and fear and remnant past.

But no dam will hold the river
Of my heart; no clamps the quiver
Of its beat - but where’s the fuel
That feeds this ever constant rule?

It's in the jewel of your heart:
'Tis there my love did take its start;
'Tis there the flint did strike the stone,
Sent fire to my flesh and bone.

Should my will ever wane its might,
My soul be ever without light --
Then I shall peer into your eyes
And feel the flames of Paradise.

Excellent rhyming in this poets' passionate declaration.
