Don't Be Too Burdened

Don't be too burdened by the little quest
Set down for you in life, a test and tourney,
Although already tired and reft of rest,
'Tis preparation for a greater journey.

Don't be too burdened by the little load
Upon your back, the world so hard to bear,
Although it weighs you down along the road,
'Tis preparation for a greater care.

Don't be too burdened by the little year,
Topping the ladder of your mortal time,
Although it seems so altitud'nous here,
'Tis preparation for a greater climb.

Don't be too burdened by what goes away,
'Tis preparation for the things that stay.
