It is better to be deaf that to hear it:
The noise of the people excessively dull,
The words and the lowest insults,
Walls collapse by hearing them,

There is no border for the thought,
She sticks from a head to the other one non-stop,
The heart gets lost as a dead fairy
By trying to to chase away them in the desert.

It is better to be deaf that to understand it,
Le Monde is as helpless as a babe dirty,
The thoughts devour those who hear them,
Le Monde does not even know that it is crazy.

Your first stanza set everything that was to come up. Continuous flights of fancy in the unsettling world of romance makes for bloodshed at the worst and heartache throughout. Excellent phraseology, Yann.

How sadly true this is, dear Yann!

Intense write and I so agree that we must protect ourselves by not listening, but I wish there was a code of dignity that should never be disrespected.
