I took a sip Swallowed The taste lingered Like the bitter hollow Feeling of being Empty An aftertaste Nearly unbearable With a hint Of faded passion Played out Behind layered velvet Hidden from society But disclosed To every individual Absorbing Another fatal attraction He thinks I don't know I know I just don't want to And the only decent compromise Is pressed in between Two oxidized acids Trapped inside a glass Confident pressure Can YOU digest? Because I wouldn't drink from that . -Emily Shives March 4th 2012 |

Interesting take on failed love, better know as fatal attraction, because by the time it is over there has been a bloodletting. Maybe not real blood, but even that sometimes. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
