Fresh Air Open door to fresh breath of air It seems to me you are still here The sun rises with rays so bright A spider’s web made overnight Glistens in the morning light Roses shine with morning dew The outside world reminds of you The Baby Tears look just right Snuggled by the long brick walk Oh how I wish that we could talk. Listen, hear the Cardinal’s call See Blue Jays showing off their all As they perch by edge of waters fall The days beginning once again And you are still with me my friend The Blue Plumbago blooms with ease The ants still march their ever tease And Violets appear in clumps And oh how I remember still The day I stepped on that ant hill You looked up and with a glance Saw me jumping an odd dance As much pain as I was in I managed to sport a silly grin As I watched you hold your laughter in. jo perry |
