I'm half hidden in foliage looking out over Bayou Lafourche the afternoon shower has stopped and the sky is still cloudy and gray. Somewhere I hear the angry hiss of an alligator disturbing the quiet after the shower's serenity perhaps its an old bull calling its mate, The dripping rain upon the leaves fall upon me, but it is no big thing I was already wet running from the rain. Across the bayou I see a rainbow bright visions of gold at the end of it takes me back to my childhood memories to think I believed the tale was true. As I walk back to The Hovel I have a thought I still have a belief of gold to be mine someday though it is no rainbow I am banking on no, it's the Powerball and the Louisiana Lottery ~*~ Old is when “getting a little action” means you don't need to take any fiber today. ~*~ [This message has been edited by paderewski (12-14-2013 12:17 PM).] |

Good morning, Lori, and a great big thanks for being here. Also for the lottery thoughts. ~*~ Those who pass gas in church must sit in their own pew. ~*~ |

Interpretations and desires change no doubt with time . Oh, but a rainbow is a rainbow and still touches you with its beauty. An angry alligator? Oh my! I guess you are familiar with them, but better keep a safe distance. I like your afternoon shower and the thoughts it stirred within you. Margherita |

I guess I am used to the alligators Margherita, I've spent many years here in the swamp. I have learned to have a lot of common sense respect for them and other denizens of the swamp. You are right, the rainbow is a special weather phenomenon. ~*~ Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong. ~*~ |

Just one dream exchanged for another... All we have learned, by the time we walk to the rainbow... it will be gone. CG |
