We walked, and they sat We cried, and they laughed We were guilty, and so were they They were lonely, and we were not They yearned, and we did not They were guilty, and so were we Some were starving But they and we were not But we and they were not Some were dying But we and they And they we, Were not. And when we mourned, And when they mourned, Our families torn apart, Their families torn apart, They didn't mourn They didn't move. We didn't mourn We didn't move. And the problems just went on. The rhythmic cadence adds to the perception of difficult relationships ... "and the problems just went on". And isn't that the truth! Margherita |
