if I wanted to
I could write about how lonely
it is here
with just me, myself and I
eating breakfast alone
trying to understand how I got this way
on picturesque mornings
such as this one
maybe I should have someone to share it with me
maybe I should
oh . . .
I can't write a melancholy poem
I have
Zoe

Sweet little Zoe makes a seemingly lonesome breakfast much less melancholic. I am here now and very close to me there is Zelda napping. Our companions help to overcome such moments of loneliness.

Have a beautiful day. Loving reach-out.

Yes, you do understand, Margherita. It is said over and over again, but the truth is our animals have an unconditional love for us.

I do not live alone but I have to confess that when the cat chooses me to curl up on it makes me feel special and that brings its own kind of contentment. Thanks Paddy for bringing that to the forefront of my realization.

YES, YES, YES!!!  You aren't alone!  I was wondering how on earth you could say that when you have Zoe - until I got to the end!!!

Please give precious, darling, beautiful, cute, cuddly, clever, adorable, adoring Zoe lots and lots of sunny South African hugs and cuddles and kisses from Auntie Di!

Hah! Thanks Emma, I'm glad I have Zoe also. Our pets. What would we do without them?

Thank you, Jerry.  Don't you think it is time you posted another photo (or even a previous one) of Zoe?  Besides new people who haven't seen her, there are those of us who can't get enough of her!

Sorry Owl, but I have lost the ability to transfer files from my pictures to PiP, and can't remember the site I used to use to obtain the code for here.

Yes they are, Amaryllis2, and I'm not nearly so lonely as the poem made out. Zoe is the difference. Thank you for reading and commenting.

Jerry, ask Karilea (Sunshine).  She has always helped me with things like that in the past.

I just know she adores Zoe too.  She has the most darling little Poe and Twain who would both love to play with Zoe.  Now, how do I know the names of everybody's animals and exactly what they look like?, lol!

You used to use something with a funny name and a dear little froggy drawing if one couldn't see the picture.

Nineteen years old? WoW! We animal lovers really are kinda special, and to think some people are mean to them. Appreciate your comment Ida.
