An overcast and foggy
Dismal daze today
Worn woods bear marks
Of missed warm weather
Wearing wet wrappings
Of chilled sky's breath
Tapping, popping, anxiously
The timbers taking time
As it comes, comes
Relentlessly!
The cold comes briskly by today!

Sounds like a weather forecast for south Louisiana. Eh . . . It is winter. Cold is with us. Hunker down.
