Sometimes there are ears to listen, sometimes not
Should that be reason to write, or should it not?
I never captured certain ears I dearly sought
Others listened dear but now are naught
Who cares of blood or flesh one's rent
Or values the trouble you have spent
It is all old words you have reused
No need to wonder or be confused

I agree with Paddy.
But I must say about the old words reused...there in lies the heart and soul of the poet. And a Poem, like the tree in the forest, whether heard or not, still makes its own unique sound.

I very much appreciated your reflection and the thoughts this brought to my mind Krawdad. Whether ears are there to listen, or not ... it is good to write. Always, it is good to write, and you do it beautifully.

It might be true what they say, that all we have to say has already been said, but all of us have their personal touch in how we say things and it is always a great pleasure to discover the different shades.
