And when I was five I would gaze through that metal screen porch door. The world spinning so slowly Time a stone I would lick that corroded screen till my little tongue was raw And marvel at the taste of metal and the salty crust of swatted flies…. With the freedom of not judging whether it was good or bad Just exploring the unexplored… I did this for months… My mother caught me one day and said “Don’t ever do that again, that is disgusting!” To please her I never licked another screen…. But I have never forgotten what it was like… |

exploring the unexplored… your ending reminded me of my youth...sometimes regretting though, not exploring enough! M |

I understand both the child and the mother! Exploring can indeed be quite dangerous without the necessary precautions! Well rendered experience. Margherita |

There is probably no end to the things we might try and enjoy if we didn't learn better somewhere along the way... lol, some serious cuase for speculation here. Michael |
