I hear the river trickle past as I sit upon a tree limb I fear not for I have wings Finally the wings of freedom With this came the eyes to see beyond All I have been taught all the world perceptions To know now, what most call magic In this realm I seek only love and light For I now know that is what we, most are Some tread the waters of the dark So I must stay rooted and do lights part Spreading even with a smile With my doings not my words That this light is nothing to fear It is the core of all beliefs Just look beyond with closed eyes And you might just find the soothing of the light |

Connie, talking of perceptions, my perceptions of this poem: unique, poetic, inspirational, as uplifting as the wings of an albatross, as beautiful as a dewdrop, as lasting as a diamond, as real as the sun, as memorable one's beliefs, as powerful as the sea, and one that I can relate to very well. Well done! May many read it and benefit as much as I did from it! Owl |
