I stand at the edge of the ocean with the castle lit up in the far distance My dress and cloak drenching wet from the sea and mist in the air Yet I do not feel the cold For thoughts of my Love keep me warm The crashing of the waves like the beating of my heart calming to those who ponder The rhythm When shall we be able to meet again When can I feel his touch his stare The beauty of the full moon mesmerizes me Bringing the music of the flute to my heart and soul Letting me know it has heard my inner song Time now for me to go As I bow my head to the sky saying Thank you and Good bye |

Connie - as if you didn't know, lol, you are a POET AND A STORYTELLER PAR EXCELLENCE!!! You held me enthralled throughout. (Diana is making a mental note never to miss reading every Zinsser poem she comes across!) Forgot to say and coming back in to do so: The title is as superb as the poem, and so fitting! Owl |

Enjoyed your poem, Zinsser, and especially love these lines: "Yet I do not feel the cold For thoughts of my Love keep me warm" Very true! |
