      The Ruins of Time
     (this poet's choice)

Dark foreboding clouds
march in glowering cadence
across the grey, somber sky
of this dark, dead-November
day of uncertain twilight
and wind-flicker leaves
dancing Winter’s tune
along the bleak edge of
    Autumn passing,
as one recalls all youth,
plans, and dreams forever lost
to the irrevocable ruins of time;
and yet the indomitable spirit
may still choose to live on in
quintessential faith and hope
that love and Spring shall come!

            for lovely Ms. Diana (11/8/2013)
       --- b. e. adams (the 'second-hand-dream' poet)
or Soqwu Disgitisdi Gvdi ('He who weaves dreams')

Thank you Bruce, for your kind wishes, but as I said, I am done now, for good.  I welcome Spring, but not any more "relationships".  That last one was the last one, lol!  I am happier on my own, anyway.

MANY thanks to each of you for your 'comment/reply' posts on this 'write!' ...

Diana, I now know about 6 'lovely ladies' such as yourself (one of whom is my very best friend) who are choosing to entirely 'give up on love/relationships' due to one (or often more) 'male monster' experiences in their lives.  I find that quite sad for you as well as the truly 'nice guys' out here in the double-post-modern Western World wilderness (even though they may be a 'vanishing breed) ...
