Echo of My Heart Menacing cloud-legions roll in relentless cadence through a dismal, foreboding, November sky over this bleak land bereft of all color and purpose. These drear November days are the millstones of the forlorn mind and spirit with far, far too many miles between our ‘nows.’ Looking for your smile … Longing for your touch … Listening for your echo of my heart... in this cold, relentless and indifferent Winter wind across Life’s wide, dark and alien plain. Who might have known that I could ever miss anyone this much. I know that my final words ever spoken will simply be how much I love you, dearest lady-fine. --- b. e. adams (11/17/2013) |
