Summer's collapsed ones haunt both at sea and on land discoveries of hung over stalks now destined for ash, on promised land, where corn once grew kingly gutted shells deck the shoreline where I'd skip, undaunted by trivialities, little contemplation given to cultural origin or definition hence the quest, at this moment, where routinely I'd stroll, walking for miles giddy on moonlight's intoxication looking over at you, my special flower, pretty in lace, with a center of sweet ivory but regretfully, with winter to come, where all becomes universal in color I never thought to have asked your name [This message has been edited by EmmaRose (11-08-2013 04:09 PM).] |

Heh.Heh I've forgotten to ask myself from time to time. Gotta love it. Poor little nameless flower. ~*~ Who remembers Pete Best? He was the drummer before Ringo Starr ~*~ |

Wow, there is so much beneath the surface here. A beautiful rendering of regret reaching us as we lose something we can only wish lasted longer, or mayhap not taken utterly for granted. Those little things that end up meaning the most, though most never see them until they're looking back to them. Beautifully done. Michael |
