Love is a many splendored thing- I heard one writer say. But this I know, that love, or lust, Will oft the heart betray. A dream, a gossamer delight- That titillates the mind. Will keep one giddy through the night- But at the daybreak find… Regret and shame, likewise remorse- Our ardor in remission- Reality’s harsh light reveals- Commission and omission. To love, to dream… life’s very breath- Yet the end view is so harsh… It steals our joy, and ends in death- Makes memory a farce. |

It seems that it's life itself that betrays the heart in the end. Ride it for all it's worth, you know it's gonna buck you soon enough. Michael |
