Hello! I don't know if it's interesting to anybody here, if not - just skip it ) I've found recently this song by Diana Arbenina and "Night Snipers" and liked so much, that couldn't help trying to translate it. ____________________________________________ The Actress verse: I will be waiting for you everywhere on the road To the sound of torrents and the cries of proud birds A mess of foreign tongues A strange profile and face I’ll find you anywhere The time of year doesn’t really matter I will be calling you Without fuss and names Without a former “love” In which I feel so good To the sound of torrents In a mess of foreign tongues I’ll find you anywhere Don’t need to be the first It doesn’t matter chorus: Running upon the waves, you’re closing your eyes And I will kiss you as then at the cinema Completely breathless with joy That you’re with me My dear actress verse: And I will sing for you Without fail, aloud With pigeons in the loft By accident all night And on the final curves In Moscow and Geneva I will chant for you And I will live as you So honestly for sure No strangers in my bed In spite of cold and ice I think that one of us Who’s fated to survive Will breathe somehow for both Don’t need to be the first It doesn’t matter chorus: Running upon the waves, you’re closing your eyes And I will kiss you as then at the cinema Completely breathless with joy That you’re with me My dear actress My actress 03/11/2013 And here is the original clip of "Night Snipers" with my subs. I just want to acquaint you with its melody. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ti0MJhoo_-4 |

I read the poem first, and I absolutely loved it. Then I watched the video and I absolutely loved it. Combining the written word with the video with your subtitles has made my day. Very impressive and the words were sad, the last verse was like a crescendo of doom. ~*~ Who remembers Pete Best? He was the drummer before Ringo Starr ~*~ |

Thank you, Jerry! I'm so glad that you love it too! It's not a new song, but I've heard it just two days ago, and it touched me so deeply. |

Beautiful. The words evoke a lot of images, many of them hitherto unthought of. I know it isn't a word, but it seems apropos. |

You write so powerfully, Gale. You could surely draw emotion in its purest form from translating a bland court document. It's always a pleasure reading your work, this was no exception. Michael |

Thank you, Michael! I appreciate your compliment very much ) although in this case it's not "a bland court document", but a very emotional song. It's really a compliment if I can convey both its sense and emotions. |
