In the taint of the coming day Early morning colors play, Black becomes purple and red As the moon gently goes to bed. Gray veils of darkness become blue Yellow comes crashing through And soon it has turned to day. The colors of daytime will highlight Till returns the simple black of night, Stars will twinkle as the moon glows Perhaps a star will fall for show Landing beyond imagination’s grasp But the dark beauty can’t last Soon colors will come with the bright. Oh the fight of dark and light to meet and merge into one can but happen for a moment in the dieing of the night or dieing of the sun but in that churning moment mingle such emotion no longer single worth the wait until meet again for the moments ballroom spin Thank You |
